What happens next?

  • Your referral will now be added to our referral waitlist. In the next few days (we do our best to get back to everyone within a week, but it may at times take longer), we’ll contact you to take a few more details – this will be a 10-15 minute telephone call, and we usually make these calls on a Tuesday. If we can't reach you, we will usually email you asking you to give us a time on a Tuesday when you'd be available to take a call. We will always call from 01273 911680.


  • Following this call, your referral will be added to our agency waitlist. You’ll be on this waitlist for at least a month or two, at which point one of our counsellors will be in touch to invite you in for an initial meeting. This takes place at our offices in Hove, and is your opportunity to discuss your goals for counselling.


  • After that, you go onto our counselling waitlist. You’ll be on this waitlist until the next counselling slot is available. This can take 4-6 months.


  • The total waiting time between now and the start of counselling is likely to be around 8 months.
